IBM i EDI Consultant

We’re actively looking for a part-time consulting role to work with our clients. This role will work on challenging projects in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Works with relevant Briteskies and client application team members to provide analysis and specifications for additional/new EDI documents for clients 
• Develops, maintains, and tests EDI maps, related interfaces, and data communications scripts
•  Assist in troubleshooting of EDI transactions and workflows
• Delegate non-EDI issues to the appropriate resources
• Assist in the transition of EDI systems to next-generation environments
• Review and assist in the implementation of client-supplied EDI patches
• Implementing and monitoring EDI systems, including data mapping, translation, and interface
• Developing and maintaining EDI documentation 

Candidate should have:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 10 years of related application development experience in lieu of a degree
• At least 10 years of developer experience with RPG III, RPG IV, and RPG FreeFormat and 5+ years of EDI experience 
• Experience with any of the following EDI translators: Gentran, AS2, TrustedLink, Extol
• Functional Knowledge of business processes (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, CRM, Financial, Supply Chain, Logistics, Service Management)
• Familiarity with IBM i-based ERP systems
